The first time I was so pleasantly surprised that I almost couldn’t quite believe it. Early one Saturday morning we got a frantic call from our contractor that they couldn’t finish the floors in time because our heating system had shut off …we were out of oil. Armed with nothing but a phonebook, on my third call I found Dominic Falcone and hit the jackpot. One hour later we had oil. He even apologized for not coming sooner but his trucks were in a New Rochelle parade that day! Our floors dried and we moved in on time. We would have considered this phenomenal service had we been longtime customers, but virtually unbelievable to an unknown, not-yet customer that called out of the blue.
Then there was the day of the blizzard when we ran out of oil (this was my fault). Now Total fills our tank with automatic delivery when their computer calculates a fill is necessary. No more run outs.
Then there was the time I heard a funny noise only to find water gushing out of the boiler at 8:00 at night. No worries! One call to our friends at Total, and the problem was solved.
My all time favorite was the day the water wouldn’t drain out of our kitchen sink. Our Total friends were there in a jiffy, and introduced us to the latest in plumbing technology: the hairdryer as an ice-thawing tool for all of your worst winter frozen troubles.
I can’t imagine harder working, more reliable or conscientious people than those of Total. Nor can I imagine ever using a different fuel company.
